PayPopup

The Scoop: A very flexible pop/banner serving solution that pays for RAW impressions

The Good: Pays for raw impressions, not uniques. Pick how and when the popups get shown. Get paid for global traffic.

The Bad: The payout rate is generally lower than competition, if you limit it to one popup/visitor.

The Review:

PayPopUp is a pretty easy program to get into. Once you do, you will notice that their popup code generator stands apart from most of the competition. Where others serve an ad on every pageview while only paying once per visitor in a 24 hour period, this program lets you pick exactly how, when and how often your visitors will see their ads.

Pick to have a popunders on page load or page exit. Set the time delay in seconds. Decide how many times a user will see an ad (options range from once a session to once a month!)

What sets this PayPopUp apart from most other networks, is that they pay for raw impressions, not unique visitors. This can make a huge difference if you are willing to show each visitor multiple popups. While their rate is lower than most competitors, the earning potential is much greater. (Remember - programs like PopUpTraffic will by default show an ad to your visitor on every pageview, but only pay ONCE a day per visitor!)

Another nice feature of this program is that it pays for international traffic, not just US based one and many others do. However, their prices for non-US traffic are signifficantly lower. You get $1.68 CPM for US visitors, $1.80 for the UK, $1.30 for Canada, and 35c for countries like Brazil, Japan and Germany. China it seems is the lowest valued of all with a scant 25 cents for 1000 pop-unders. On flooble.com, which gets about 85% of its traffic from the US, the program generates about $1.60 CPM.

PayPopUp has also forayed into other formats in 2004: they now offer interstitial, in-page (DIV layer) ads similar to FastClick's InVues but larger, and finally banners. The advertised rates for in-page ads, which they call "PopIns", is $1.00 for US traffic, and less for other countries. The banners are available in regular and leaderboard sizes, paying out 20 and 28 cents respectively for US-based impressions. There doesn't seem to be any default mechanism, so one can only assume that the network fills all your inventory.

The statistics are very well done. You can see your traffic and earnings in real time, broken down either by days or geographical regions.

Also worthy of mention is that they have a five-level deep referal structure, which is rare in this business. First level referers get 10% of the affliates they bring in, with levels 2 through 5 paying 5%, 2%, 2% and 1%.

The minimum payout is $50, and the payments are sent twice a month - just like paychecks, on the 15th and 30th - as long as your balance for the previous period is sufficient. Note that this publisher is located in Canada, and even though you can elect to get paid in US dollars, your bank may still charge you money for processing each check (something to do with a different routing system). If that is the case you may want to increase the minimum payout to minimize the cost incurred.

Overall it's a great program that will mostly benefit webmasters who serve multiple popup ads. If you limit your popups to one per session, you will do better with programs like PopUp Sponsor or PopUpTraffic, which pay you a higher CPM rate, but only count unique visitors.

Level of Intimacy: Used this program for years and got paid consistently

PayPerPost

Get Paid for Blogging. You've been writing about Web sites, products, services and companies you love for years and you have yet to benefit from all the sales and traffic you have helped generate. That's about to change. With PayPerPost advertisers are willing to pay you for your opinion on various topics. Search through a list of opportunities, make a blog posting, get your content approved, and get paid. It's that simple.

Our system is designed to be self-serve. You create an account in our system by providing some basic information. You are here to make money so a valid TAX ID (either social security number for individuals or an EIN for companies) is required for US citizens.

Once your account is created, you are ready to submit your blog for approval. Typically, blogs are approved within 48 business hours, but it may take up to 72 hours depending on the amount of submissions. Once your blog has been approved, you are ready to take Opportunities. Think of an Opportunity as a posting on a bulletin board that an advertiser has made. They are looking for people to write about Web sites, products and services in exchange for cash. Select the Opportunity that you are most interested in and review the requirements set forth by the advertiser.

Advertisers will post all sorts of Opportunities, from a simple "link back to this site" to product reviews with pictures. Each Opportunity will have different compensation based on the advertiser. It's up to you to pick the Opportunities that best suit you and your blog. If it doesn't feel right, if you don't own the product, or if you can't be honest we ask you to pass on the Opportunity. Dishonest or completely off-topic posts can ultimately hurt your blog's credibility. We strongly encourage you to only take opportunities that relate to you.

Once you have selected an Opportunity, create a post on your blog, paying attention to the Opportunity requirements the advertiser has set forth. Then submit the direct link back to us. Our team will review the content and either approve or deny the post. If it is denied, you will be given a chance to revise and resubmit. Post reviews are usually approved within 72 business hours, but may take longer depending on volume. Your post must remain live on your blog for 30 days (the post doesn't have to remain on the front page). Keep blogging as usual… eat a sandwich; go get a haircut.

After 30 days (and also at random) we will check to see if the blog post is still live and still meets the Opportunity requirements. If so, you have satisfied your agreement and you will get paid. We will issue your payment via PayPal based on the PayPal e-mail address you provide us. We don't pay in gold, baseball cards, experience points or foodstamps, so please don't ask. If you don't have a PayPal account, please get one or don't sign up.

Sponsored Review

What is a Sponsored Review?

A Sponsored Review is an article you write for an advertiser. You review their products and services and then post the review on your blog. Each advertiser has his or her own requirements (i.e. length, link info, etc.).

You write the review in your own tone, and can be as critical as needed. Constructive criticism is encouraged, but rude or hateful reviews will be declined.

We also require full-disclosure that the review is a sponsored one. You can simply state the words "Sponsored Review" or you can integrate it into the content.

Why Sell Sponsored Reviews?

There are many reasons why you would want to sell a Sponsored Review.

  • Earn hundreds or thousands of dollars writing reviews. In addition, as you build up a reputation, and audience, your value goes up.
  • Increase readership of your blog by writing high quality articles that your audience will appreciate. First rule of blogging is "post often"; it is the key to attracting subscribers.
  • Highly targeted content will drive quality search engine traffic to your site. You probably already knew that!

How it Works

There are two ways to participate:

  1. You can create a profile for your blog(s) in order to attract advertisers. Advertisers will purchase reviews from you, which you have the option to accept or decline.
  2. You can also search for advertisers directly, and bid on jobs. Our unique bidding system allows you to negotiate your rates with advertisers in order to maximize your earnings.

Once you have accepted a review opportunity, you have 3 days to complete your assignment. Upon posting the review on your blog, you must enter the URL of the post into our system.

  • Our staff will then assess your review to ensure that it meets our quality guidelines. Once approved, your account is credited with the amount agreed.
  • Every two weeks, accounts with an outstanding balance are paid instantly via PayPal.

Sponsored Review Writing Guidelines

  1. Reviews must be written according to the terms set by the advertiser.
  2. Constructive criticism is encouraged, however, reviews that are hateful or non-constructive will not be accepted.
  3. Reviews must be permanent and archived.
  4. Disclosure that the review is sponsored is mandatory.

10 get paid to blog sites roundup

One of the main ways for bloggers to make money online is to get paid for blogging. There are many paid blogging or paid review sites for bloggers to make money online, in addition to other ways such as sell images and videos.

1. PayPerPost
Lots of opportunities and if your site has a high PageRank, you could actually make some very nice pocket money completing the maximum limit of 3 posts a day since higher PR blogs have access to high paying offers. Currently the highest paying offer is USD175.00 for a post - but your blog has to have a PR6. However there are quite a lot of USD5.00 - USD10.00 offers for low traffic blogs as well.

PayPerPost also has the most rules and regulations to follow such as your PPP post must be between 2 non-paid posts, and other advertiser requirements such as having the post title in your browser window.

You have to check in frequently if you want to get the high paying posts as these get taken up very fast. After you accept an opportunity, you have 6 hours (subject to change) to post the URL or the opportunity will be released back onto the board.

2. Blogsvertise
Not many offers but if you go for quantity, all those USD5.00 posts do add up. Usually only about 100 words are required but at least 3 anchor links are mandatory for each post. You are emailed the offers from time to time but you can also browse the grab bag for offers which other bloggers have failed to complete or rejected.

The site navigation is a little troublesome as you have to change the category of your blog to check if there are any other offers. It would be more productive if all offers from the grab bag are displayed together on a page instead of having to waste time changing categories.

3. Blogging Ads
Recently revamped, posts here work on a slightly different model in that they are already written. So all you have to do is to copy and paste onto your blog. Each blog is limited to a maximum of 3 posts a month fixed at USD5.00 per post. Your blog must be indexed by Google and more than 3 months old to be considered. Opportunities are few and limited and once you have done the current offers, you have to wait 3 months to take the same offers again, and there may not be new ones available for a couple of months.

4. LinkWorth
They have several monetizing programs such as banners and in-text links in addition to their get paid to blog option. Member bloggers can set their own price tags for a post but must factor in LinkWorth’s share. Standard Partners get 70% of the set price while Preferred Partners get 50%. The difference is that LinkWorth markets the sites of Preferred Partners so they get more exposure and more offers from advertisers.

5. Smorty
A fairly new site, Smorty sets the fee for a blog post according to your blog’s traffic statistics. Lower traffic blogs get a flat USD6.00 fee per post of at least 150 words. Currently quite limited in both the number of offers and type of advertisers, Smorty promises better things to come when it grows its list of advertisers.

6. Sponsored Reviews
Requirements for this site are fairly high although once accepted, you can set your own fees to a limit set by Sponsored Reviews. The opportunities are listed with traffic requirements and price offers and if your blog qualifies, you can send in a bid for the offer. This method of matching advertiser with blogger means that lower traffic blogs will find it hard to get any offers since advertisers tend to pick higher traffic blogs.

7. ReviewMe
Has very high requirements and standards and unless your blog has a substantial PageRank and traffic ranking, you will hardly find any offers as advertisers browse through blogs and pick and choose the ones they want to advertise on. The fee for a blog based not entirely on PageRank, is set by ReviewMe who takes half the amount.

8. LoudLaunch
There are quite a lot of opportunities with the amount to be paid - usually USD5.00 - determined by your blog traffic and ranking. Posts rejected are not told the reason and not given a chance to rectify the problem. A large disclosure widget button has to be placed at the end of each post.

9. Creamaid
One of the lowest paying sites, with fees mostly in the region of USD1.00 - USD2.00 with another dollar or two as referral fee. A large widget which serves as both the disclosure and referral button must be placed at the end of a post. If a blogger takes up the offer from your post, you will earn the referral fee.

10. Bloggerwave
Recently resolved its payment problems with PayPal and back on track with its get paid to blog programme, which the sympathetic have attributed to over-zealous PayPal admins. Many bloggers who had their payment reversed have reported getting paid even though they had already deleted their posts.

Agloco Viewbar launch update

Make money online with Some Useless InfoAgloco sent its members an email recently to give an update report of sorts about its Viewbar software that members use to earn ad revenue while surfing. People who swear by Agloco are those who have managed to sign up referrals, although when payment will be made for these referrals is unclear. The longer Agloco drags it feet launching the Viewbar, the more dropouts there will be as people seek out better ways to make money online. Worst still for those who have actually spent money advertising in AdWords and paid posts for referrals.

Although many have come out strongly against it, some even calling it a scam, its concept is still fundamentally sound enough for many, including big names like John Chow to sign up. However, I think only the referrals can earn any good money, assuming you get paid eventually. The paid surfing concept falls under the categories of get paid to post, get paid to read emails and get paid to complete offers- generally not worth the amount of time required to earn very little returns.

Here’s the email from Agloco.

We will be releasing the AGLOCO Viewbar software soon and want to update Members on how things will work when it is released.

Each Member will get an email informing them that their Viewbar is available. It will contain detailed instructions on the download, which will be done from the agloco.com website. Members will be invited to download in groups of 50,000 a day for a two week period, with Members contacted in the order in which they signed up.

Shortly before the first set of download emails go out, you will receive an email notice that the AGLOCO website will be ‘out of service’ for a few hours – this is necessary for us to move the Viewbar download system from the test server to the main servers.

Also, please be aware of the following:

1. AGLOCO Hours: You will accrue hours in your AGLOCO Member account (current maximum is five direct hours a month). Hours are earned during active surfing on the Internet. The Viewbar has a green light on it that notifies the Member when it is accruing time. Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours. You can only get credit referral hours up to the amount you directly surf (meaning if you surf 3 hours but a referral surfs 4, you will only get credit for the first 3 of your referral’s 4 hours). AGLOCO accrues these hours each month and also has a cumulative total of all hours earned. These hours are what AGLOCO will use to calculate cash and other distributions. The Viewbar contains a one click inactive button which turns it off and removes it from your screen at any time.

2. Initial Release for Windows: The initial Viewbar release will be for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro and 2000 Server. Later, we will release Mac and Linux versions of the Viewbar. Until that occurs, Mac/Linux users can still log onto any supported Windows computer and accumulate their five hours. The Viewbar works with browsers IE 5.5 or higher and Firefox 1.5 or higher.

3. Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

4. Multiple Users on One Viewbar: As stated previously, multiple Members may use the same Viewbar on the same computer. Only one Viewbar download will be necessary as the Viewbar software will enable each Member to log in and log out using their AGLOCO Member ID# and password (obviously, only one Member ID# can be accumulating Viewbar hours at any one time). Please note, only one Viewbar is allowed on a screen at a time.

5. One-Time Download: The v1.0 Viewbar is purposely simplistic and minimalist, but it also comes equipped with an automatic self-updating feature. Once you download the Viewbar for the first time, your Viewbar will be seamlessly updated with new additions and features as they become available. These future features include the direct cash back feature when a Member purchases items on sponsor site and a portion of the purchase price is added back to the Member’s AGLOCO account (as described on the Official AGLOCO Blog at http://blog.agloco.com/index.php/post35/ . )

We look forward to your active participation in the AGLOCO community.

10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

TOP 10 TIPS

10. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be series about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that’s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger’s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it’s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at blogcarnival.com.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it’s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it’s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it’s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your “Resource Box”. You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

I hope you enjoyed my list of traffic tips. Everything listed above are techniques I’ve put into place myself for my blogs and have worked for me, however it’s certainly not a comprehensive list. There are many more things you can do. Finding readers is all about testing to see what works best for you and your audience and I have no doubt if you put your mind to it you will find a balance that works for you.

Chitika Linx - Beta In Text Advertising

Chitika have today added another new ad unit to their growing line of options for publishers - this one is called Chitika Linx.
It’s still in beta and I’m not one of the lucky few to be invited to test it - but from the overview page it looks very similar to other in text advertising options like Amazon’s Context Links system, Kontera’s ContentLink product and Intellitxt (and others).
All of these systems will look at your content for keywords that they can match to an advertisment. They then make those words links (usually with some different kind of formatting so that readers are aware that they are different - in the case of Linx a double underline) and then when readers hover the cursor over the link a small popup appears with the ad.
In the case of Linx the popup seems to contain an eMiniMall ad unit (as pictured).

The ads are CPC (you get paid if someone clicks the ad).
Publishers generally have a fairly extreme love or hate for this type of advertising.
They do interrupt the reading flow which is a cost publishers should weigh up before installing them - however I do know of a few publishers who find this type of ad converts quite well - particularly on product related sites (which I suspect Chitika will have as their focus with the invitations that they offer).
I’ve been testing a couple of other similar systems in a very limited way on a couple of my blogs with limited success but will be interested to see what the earnings per click is like on these.
You can read more about Chitika Linx Beta here.

YPN Offer Publishers PayPal Payment Option

YPN (Yahoo’s Publisher Network) have just announced something that I think will make many AdSense publishers quite jealous - they’re now going to give YPN publishers the option to be paid with PayPal.

I’ve been hearing AdSense publishers calling for this for years now but think it unlikely that they’ll do it as a result of them having invested so much into their own Google Checkout system

acop.com-International paid survey panel

The American Consumer Opinions Panel (ACOP from now onwards!) is actually the very first survey site I found around 2/3 years ago although my membership completely lapsed when I changed ISP and lost my old email addresses. A year ago I re-found them, signed up again under a different username and promptly ended up with $60 in American Express gift cheques on my doormat within 2 months. How or why I ended up with these is anyone's guess because there was nothing to say why in the envelopes(one for each $10 gift cheque) and nothing on the site, but who cares right? lol I wasn't going to argue. Since then I've received more surveys from the site and more $10 gift cheques as a result. Kinda cool seeing how little you actually have to do to receive them so I thought I'd share the site with you...

Firstly, forget the name because the site does NOT just cater for an American audience although as it is based there I would assume their focus is more on that region. They are however, open to participants worldwide and I for one can vouch that they do actually send out surveys to international members(I swear some others say they are open internationally when in fact they have no international clients) and do cough up with the cash once you have earned it as well. It's a somewhat odd means of payment but there ya go, money is money even if it does come in a strange gift cheque with a dollar amount on the face! Just in case any of you are completely naive about all things paid survey based the principle this site and others work along is this: they send you emails inviting you to answer an online survey(you tick boxes and occasionally write something very brief in reply to questions), you do so and they send you cash in one form or another when they have verified you actually bothered doing it properly. Simple really, as I said, money for old rope and £6 for 10-15 minutes opinionating isn't to be sniffed at is it?

• How Do I G et Involved?

Just toddle along to the site, click the ?Join? link and fill out a bunch of probing demographic details. This is the boring bit. You may feel a little uncomfortable over some of the questions asked(I never have) but you can rest assured that all of this remains totally private and is never passed on to either clients of the company or other third party companies. ACOP uses the details you have supplied to target surveys as those who fit their client's demographic requirements but that's as far as it goes, your details are safe. You'll also not find yourself bombarded with spam etc. they only want your details for the reasons mentioned and it's not in their interests to screw over their clients! You'll also need to(and this is important!) provide a VALID email address when you sign up and it has to be one you check regularly or you'll not get the invites.

• What now?

You sit back on your rapidly growing butt(well mine is) and wait. OK, you don't wait, you just carry on about you normal business and in a few days or a few months a survey invitation with arrive in your inbox. This is why you need a valid email address, without it, you'll not be able to take part! All survey companies send out *time sensitive surveys* as well so if you don't check regularly you'll find the date for completion has expired. That's why it needs to be an addy you check regularly. Basically, you snooze, you lose! So don't snooze, but don't sit there expecting surveys to come flooding in either because they won't. One a month is good going from ACOP. If you expect any more then you'll be disappointed.

• So what are the surveys like?

Well, they can be on all kinds of subjects and come in all kinds of formats. I tend to find ACOP sends out traditional surveys of the tickbox format as opposed so some of the other sites which often send out movie trailers for evaluation etc. Generally a survey here will take you 10-15 minutes although there are longer ones and you'll be paid more if it's a very long one. All mine have been $10 surveys which can't be sniffed at for 15 mins of answering questions. ACOP's surveys are nicely laid out and 'painless' and very professional. I've never had a problem completing one of their surveys due to technical errors etc.

• How do I get paid?

As I said, you get paid in American Express gift cheques which I assume you just cash in at an American Express office or foreign exchange thingumy over here seeing as they are in dollars. Personally I visit the US a lot and they go with me and get paid straight over the counter but most of you will be taking a trip out to change them into British squids. You get paid on completion of surveys you qualify for(some are unpaid screeners to see if you fit a more detailed demographic for a later paying survey) and there are also prize draws on site for various cash mounts each month...which is where I assume my stray $60 came from! Payment is $4-$25 apparently dependent upon the length of the survey but mine have always been $10 each. Maybe it's different if you're in the US. The GCs take a while to arrive but arrive they *do* arrive so no complaints there.

• ...and the catch is?

There isn't one. Well maybe that you get gift cheques and need to cash them in at a bureau de change or something but otherwise, no catch, no complaints.

• Verdict

Again, no giving up the day job by signing up with ACOP, no getting rich quick but a few extra pennies in your pocket for doing very little at all. Hey where else can you earn the equivalent of $40-$60 an hour(do the maths) from sitting on your butt in front of a monitor with half an eye on Eastenders(or whatever your televisual poison may be)? I like this site, a few more regular surveys would be nice but they do pay well so i t's easy to let them off for being a little slow to send the cash(it is coming from Texas after all) and for not being hugey prolific with the amount of surveys they do send. If you sign up for the site and expect to be flooded by cash earning surveys you'll be disappointed, it doesn't work like that, but you will get some(5 or 6 a year I qualify for - I get more short screeners though so you may be luckier) and you will get paid. Can't say fairer than that.

SurveySavvy Company Background

SurveySavvy is part of Luth Research, LLC., a market research leader since 1977. Based in San Diego, California, Luth Research, LLC. has conducted countless interviews, focus groups and surveys for their clients. They have over 3 million members across 190 countries earning cash by participating in their online paid surveys.

Program Details and Our Suggestions

Getting Started. Once you sign up to become a member you will be issued a username and password so that you can access their members site. From their you can check your cash balance, get your referral code to refer friends, redeem your earnings, and most importantly access the member portraits (profile enhancers). Be sure to fill out the profiles to increase your chances of receiving paid survey invitations.

What to expect? Based on your user profile, you will occasionally get a screener survey (a short questionnaire to see if you are qualified for a survey)। If you qualify and complete a survey you can expect to receive an average of $2 to $20 per survey. If you attempt do not qualify for the survey you are entered into a monthly sweepstakes drawing for fifty $10 prizes. In addition they have an excellent referral program; its probably the best recurring referral program I have encountered for paid survey panels. Members receive $2.00 every time one of their referrals takes a survey and $1.00 for every survey their referral's referral completes. Best of all SurveySavvy has no minimum threshold required to request payment. Here is check I received for referrals and completing online surveys at Surveysavvy.

Our Advice: Take all of the paid surveys that SurveySavvy sends your way. The payment is top notch, and since they do not send many invitations, you should take advantage of all the invitations they send. Again, be sure to complete the portraits in the member's area, as this will increase the number of survey invitations as well. Also, be sure to take advantage of their referral program if you have friends that may be interested in taking online paid surveys.

The Bottom Line

SurveySavvy offers excellent compensation per survey, and the quality of their surveys is good. The only drawback is they do not offer many surveys. You can expect about one to two screeners per month, but don't be surprised if several months go by without receiving any invitations. The pay per survey is excellent though, and their referral program is an added bonus. Definitely Recommend!
